Although somewhat dated, book was written in 2009, Jamie Diamon's career was already cemented as one of the most prolific in Wall Street history. The sheer weight his name carries to this day is a result of the tremedous ethic brashness and absolutle domination of banking business. The book recounts his journey from standard credit all the way to JPM through various merger and aqusitions and his percarious relatinoship with his mentor Sanford "Sandy" Weil.
I found the book to be a great history of Jamies career and a great understanding of his drive, principles, and ethics that drove his ascent. A real take awaw for me was his simplied list taking that he uses to memorizlie his daily tasks. His TODO list consists of a two column page "What I Owe People" and "What People Owe me". I found this to be so simple yet so effective. Something you can practice daily to become a better more efficent man both personally and professionally.
